Not everyone is a lover of goth - anime stuff. A lot of art schools consider this form of animation, or art, to be simplistic, lacking any anatomical correctness. I should know, I go to one, and I know a lot of people who love anime, and drawing anime. But everything they love they have to sacrifice.
I am a lover of Renneisance art. I love the classical pictures, I studied and still study anatomy. Seeing the muscle texture of MadMachine's sketches, even if the bone structure is unrealistic, the muscle tissue makes it very very believable. Instead of making it a simple on color part, for example, skin tone isnt deided into 2 or 3 colors to make the gradient, he plays with the black and white shadow and highlight sequence.
I don't know...I personaly don't understand why people get so upset about hearing something negative about their artwork...Enough to get their friends to attack the critic. The truth is, if you cannot handle negative criticism, of any kind, you are not a very good artist.
From what I gather, you all have your reasons for your opinions...A true artist, and a true critic, has the ability to seperate the judgement of someone's personality and someone's art. For example: the person could be a saint, but has shitty artwork, or a person could be a total asshole but has great artwork. Don't judge the artwork on the basis of the person, if you do, your going to be a shitty person yourself, with no knowledge of constructive criticism.
Like "She gave me a bad grade because she hates me" quoted by SO many teenagers. The truth is, most if not all those teenagers were lazy little arrogant assholes, who never did their work and expected to get by their classes with their "wit and charm" which of course most do not have but think they do.
For those who seek a career or even presentable artform...learn these things, learn them now. Or your going to be so hurt in the future, that your artistic spirit will be crushed like the crushing of cacaroaches...
Fuck all of them, Sieg, they know very well then to let their putrid filth come out of the mouth. Don't let them think they are ever anything more than just simple walking meat robots. Thats right your all Meat Robots.
